World Animal Protection

As CEO of We Planet Earth (WPE) since 2016, Miles Duggal leads a team of experts in finding and implementing effective marketing strategies for charities internationally. Miles Duggal is also the founder of the company and has grown it to generate $20 million in long-term charity pledges. One of the charities that has benefited from WPE is World Animal Protection.

World Animal Protection is an animal welfare organization that has offices in 14 countries working to protect animals in communities, on farms, in disaster zones, and in the wild. The organization is currently campaigning for support to help elephants being cruelly treated at Amer Fort in Rajasthan, India. The elephants are taken from their mothers at a young age and are harshly trained to be used as a tourist attraction. The bull hooks that handlers use to control them cause injuries that are exacerbated by the weight of the heavy seats and tourists they carry. When they are not working, these elephants are chained, causing further trauma and preventing them from socializing with each other.

By encouraging supporters to sign a petition, World Animal Protection hopes to convince the Rajasthan government to end the harsh treatment of Amer Fort elephants.
