An accomplished strategic leader, Miles Duggal has served in both profit and non-profit environments utilizing his sales experience to enhance growth and efficiency. Since 2016, he has served as the CEO of We Planet Earth, a company that helps clients find good strategies for charity fundraising campaigns. Besides his professional accomplishments, Miles Duggal is actively involved in multiple organizations, including the Ottawa Humane Society.
Ottawa Humane Society is a registered community and non-profit organization whose membership comprises community members and volunteers. Since 1888, the organization has led efforts to offer a haven for homeless, sick and, injured animals in Ottawa.
To achieve its mandate, the Ottawa Humane Society (OHS) has multiple programs, including the Cats for Seniors program. This initiative enables interested adopters to identify the best companions who match their homes and lifestyles. The adoption process begins with an interested prospective adopter filling in a questionnaire which is submitted to OHS. OHS adoptions counselors are then tasked with the process of finding an ideal match.
After identification, an interested adopter organizes a meet and greet session with the selected cat and decides whether to take it home with them. Through this program, cats find loving homes while owners enjoy the physical, emotional, and psychological benefits of pet ownership. The cats for Seniors program helps connect cats and pet owners in an environment that enhances lifelong bonds.
